Social Enterprise

Social enterprise is often described as fitting in the space in between the for-profit business model and the not-for-profit model.

It recognizes the flaws with both our capitalist system and the world of charity, and incorporates the best parts of each to create a new model that fundamentally changes everything.

Rather than relying on support (generally donations) from those who have benefited from the existing system to help those who suffer as a result of that system, a social enterprise may ask upfront for an investment to create change to the system that will reduce the need for charity.
